Milton Schuchard

MILTON M. SCHUCHARD STERLING-Milton M. Schuchard, 99, died Friday, March 17, 2017 at Heritage Square, Dixon. He was an electrical engineer at the former Northwestern Steel and Wire Company for 41 years until his retirement in 1982. Milton was born December 16, 1917 in Chadwick, the son of William and Emma (Hartman) Schuchard. He married Fern Waters on September 14, 1938 in Washington, IA. She preceded him in death on May 12, 2006. He was a member of the First Open Bible Church, Rock Falls. Survivors include one daughter, Martha (Danny) Anderson of Rock Falls; four sons, Larry (Patricia) Schuchard and Richard (Sylvia) Schuchard, both of Sterling, Charles (Rose) Schuchard of Rock Falls and James (Sigrid) Schuchard of Mishawaka, IN; 11 grandchildren, Stephanie (Christopher) Morrison, Christopher Schuchard, Amy (Robert) Enochs, Eric (Robyn) Schuchard, Scott (Jolene) Schuchard, Bou (Kassie) Anderson, Chad (Becky) Anderson, Troy Anderson, Haleigh (Chad) Souders, Molly (James) Sly, and Sabrina Schuchard; fifteen great grandchildren, Ella Morrison, Ethan Morrison, Sophia Enochs, Marcus Enochs, Jack Schuchard, Molly Schuchard, Peyton Schuchard, Kendall Schuchard, Elizabeth Anderson, Bou Anderson, Maxx Anderson, Tatum Anderson, Ava Souders, Mae Anderson and Leah Anderson. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren Dustin Schuchard, and Marco Schuchard, his parents and a brother, Howard Schuchard. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation Sterling with the Reverend Les Funderberg, pastor of First Open Bible Church, Rock Falls. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.
