MYRON RICHTER MILLEDGEVILLE- Myron Richter, 54, of rural Milledgeville, died Saturday, August 15, as the result of a farming accident. He lived his entire life at or near the family homestead, where he farmed with his father. Myron was also employed at Sohigro in Milledgeville for many years, held the position of Resource Conservationist for the Ogle County Soil and Water Conservation District for twenty years, and most recently served as Ogle County's Director of Environmental Health. Myron was born November 27, 1954 in Sterling, the son of Leslie and Phyllis (Wiens) Richter. He graduated from Illinois State University in December 1977 with a degree in agriculture. He married Lisabeth Deem on October 7, 1978 in Sterling. He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by all whose lives were touched with his kindness and sense of humor. It was his love of family, friends, farm, Oliver tractors, John Wayne and television westerns that will be his legacy to those who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Lisabeth; two daughters Katherine (Michael) Hull of Maryville, MO and Emily (Eric) Otte of Pearl City; one son John Richter of Milledgeville; two sisters Marseyne (Bill) Snow of Oregon and Sharon (Chris) Worley of Louisville, KY; one granddaughter Emma Otte and several special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Randy. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Monday at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial has been established to the Milledgeville Fire Department in gratitude of their caring dedication
