Nancy Hartman

STERLING- Nancy J. Hartman, of Sterling, died Sunday March 26, 2017 at Resthave Nursing Home in Prophetstown. Nancy was born April 14, 1937 in Sterling, the daughter of William and Grace (Coursey) McCord. She graduated from Sauk Valley Community College with her nursing degree in July of 1990. Nancy worked as an L.P.N. at Sterling Pavilion for 15 years before retiring in 2005. Nancy was a cat lover, she enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s events and spending time with friends and family. Survivors include one daughter Luana (Denny) Rude of Sterling; two grandchildren Benji (Barb) Rude and Marci (Nick) Petropoulos; and seven great-grandchildren Ryan Rude, Jacob Rude, Annie Rude, Ellie Rude, Macie Petropoulos, Kylie Petropoulos, and Luke Petropoulos. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Ted and Bill McCord. Cremation rites have been accorded and graveside services will be 11A.M., Thursday March 27, 2017, at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, with Reverend Dalmus Meeks officiating.
