Nonis J. Moore, 84, died, Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at CGH Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was employed at Borg Warner as a production foreman, for 20 ½ years, prior to retirement. Nonis was born December 12, 1931 in Sterling, the daughter of Omer and Drussilla (Chapman) Snow. In 1950 she married Theodore Aggen. She married Loran M. Moore on February 23, 1980. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2007. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sterling for 68 years serving as an elder, a deacon, and on numerous committees. Family gatherings were made special by Mom’s home-cooked meals. She spoiled the spouses with her gravy and pie! Her strong faith guided her through life. While serving God and her church, she developed long lasting friendships. Survivors include three daughters, Dixie (Bill) Anderson of Rock Island, Debbie Pool of O’Fallon, MO, Kathryn (Jeff) Richards of Sterling; step-sons Randy (Melissa) Moore of Rock Falls, Tim (Pam) Moore of Sterling, step-daughter, Cathy (Joel) Rosenow of Aurora; three grandchildren, Michael Henry, Sarah (Dustin) Dahlstrom and Erik Moore; and one great-grandson, Peyton Henry. She was also preceded in death by one step-son, Larry Moore, one son-in-law, Gary Pool, one sister, Ruth Wagenknecht and four brothers, Eugene, Walter, Glen and Dale Snow. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church of Sterling, with Reverend Christina Berry, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 PM at the Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling.
