Pamela A Damrow

Pamela “Pam” Damrow, 73, of Sterling, passed away on November 1, 2022, at her home surrounded by family, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Pam was born November 23, 1948, in Beloit WI, the daughter of Edward and Alice (Haas) Matchett. She married Mike Damrow on July 5, 1969, in Beloit WI.

Pam graduated from Beloit Memorial High School, and then City College of Cosmetology in Milwaukee. Her careers included stay-at-home mom, beautician, server, cake decorator, and she especially enjoyed the last few years being retired at home with her loving husband. Pam loved her family, especially spending time with her grandkids and attending their sporting events. She had a passion for country music and even got to personally meet Alan Jackson a few times. If she took the time to teach you how to play Euchre, consider yourself very lucky. Only the elite know how to play according to PDR (Pam Damrow Rules). Pam enjoyed entertaining friends and family at her many homes. She treasured the holidays, especially Christmas. She loved traveling, in fact, she visited all 50 states. Pam never met a stranger. She was truly “one of a kind” and to know her was to love her.

Survivors include her husband Mike; one son Gregg (Tenley) Damrow of Dunlap IL; one daughter Tami (Katie) Damrow of Coon Rapids MN; four grandchildren Payton, Kamden, Anna, and Teegan; and one great-grandson Aiden.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation Rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be at noon, Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rock Falls. Visitation will take place at the church from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., prior to the service.

A memorial has been established for Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, CGH Oncology Department, and Rock River Hospice & Home.
