Paulette Sweitzer

 Paulette Mary (Hyland) Sweitzer of Rock Falls IL passed away Monday January 27, 2025 surrounded by her family and friends at Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling at the age of 58, after a long fight with lung cancer. Paulette was born to the late Ray and Sue Hyland in Beloit WI.

 She married the love of her life Darren Sweitzer in 1986. They had two children Cherra (John) Holland and the late Evan Sweitzer. She had three granddaughters Katrina Sweitzer, Sienna Holland and Freya Sweitzer. Paulette has one sister Stacey (Clint) Sturgeon, and two nephews Jonathan Pearson and Nathan Rice. 

 Paulette was a bus driver for First Student when she was first diagnosed with cancer. Her passion and determination through her treatment was seen everyday, to stay working with her school children known as "The Duck Bus". She will be missed. 

 Cremation rites have been entrusted to Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation in Sterling, and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
