Rita Weakley

STERLING- Rita M. Weakley, 65, died Saturday June 11, 2016 at CGH Medical Center. She had been employed at CGH Medical Center for 23 years before retiring. Rita’s family meant the world to her, and she meant the world to her family Rita was born May 17, 1951 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Antonio and Frances (Cortez) Castillo. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene Sterling. Survivors include one daughter Carrissa Weakley of Rockford; two sons, Brian Geesey of Clinton, IA and Timothy Castillo of Phoenix, AZ; Two sisters Tonette Castillo of Sterling and Corina (Juan Miniel) Castillo of Rock Falls; special friends Harry and Mary Lou Seavey of Sterling; 13 grandchildren and four great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parent’s one brother Antonio Castillo and one sister Linda Castillo. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday June 16, 2016 at the First Church of the Nazarene Sterling, with Reverend Jim Book and Harry Seavey co-officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 to 11a.m. at the church. Cremation rites will take place after the funeral, and burial will take place at a later date. A memorial has been established.
