Ruth K. Lenox, 91, formerly of Sterling, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at La Vida Llena Lifecare Retirement Community, Albuquerque, NM. She was employed at the former Lawrence Brothers, Sterling, prior to retirement in 1988. Ruth was born February 5, 1925 in Kewanee, the daughter of Theodore and Bertha (Bannas) Lempke. She married John B. Lenox on August 24, 1945 in Dixon. He preceded her in death in 1994. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Sterling. Survivors include, two daughters, Carolyn Klinker of Albuquerque, NM and Donna (Stanley Todd) Beckman of Morrison; one son, Theodore Lenox of Dixon; five grandchildren, Scott (Teresa) Otto, Aaron (Mary) Otto, Cheryl Irvin, Amy Otto and Ted (Christy) Lenox, Jr.; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister Arlene Noble and two brothers, Harold and Earl Lempke. prior to services at the funeral home.
