STERLING- Sandy Gibson, 55, died, Saturday, August 14, 2021 at her home. Sandy was born on March 11, 1966 in Chicago, the daughter of Charles and Ruth (Desch) Stegmaier. She married David Gibson on May 9, 1996 in Chicago. Sandy was an amazing caregiver and very generous. She would give you the shirt off her back. She enjoyed her job at Addus as a home health aide and really enjoyed going to work and helping others. She was very handy and could fix things that most could not. She was detail oriented and loved to decorate. She was a great cook and made many meals for others. Her dogs were a huge part of her life and she loved animals. Sandy will be remembered for being kind, loving, and so very generous and thoughtful to others. Survivors include her husband, David Gibson of Sterling; three children, Nicholas Gibson, Annie Gibson, and Kristin Gibson all of Chicago; sister, Kim Lavelle of IN. She was preceded in death by her father; mother-in-law, Lois Muldoon; step-daughter, Guinevere Gardner. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 1:30PM-5:30PM at the Sauk Valley Group Meeting Hall located at 1503 1st Ave, Rock Falls, with Pastor Howard Law of the Big Red Church, officiating.
