Thomas Jilderda

DIXON-Thomas Jilderda, 74, of Dixon, passed away at KSB Medical Center, Sunday, February 6, 2022.
Thomas was born July 10, 1947 to John and Henrietta (Vrieswijk) Jilderda in Wouterswoude, Friesland. He married Marsha Downs on May 6, 1967.
He was a loving husband and father. He was a dedicated hard working truck driver for over 50 years. He enjoyed tractor pulling, camping, NASCAR, Green Bay Packers and loved to sing karaoke. Nobody was ever a stranger and he made friends everywhere he went.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha of Dixon; four children, Tina (Dennis) O’Brien of Ohio, Tim (Julie) Jilderda of Walnut, Randy (Heather) Jilderda of Broken Arrow, OK and Becky (Dean Burns) Jilderda of Amboy; brothers, Fred (Shirley) Jilderda of Durand and Joe (Sylvia) and Mint (Carol) Jilderda both of Mt. Carroll; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Miner Jilderda.
There will be a celebration of life on Sunday, February 13, 2022 from 11AM-3 PM at the VFW in Dixon. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
A memorial has been established.
