Treva Frohling

Treva Frohling, 83, of Sterling passed away August 9, 2022 at Rock River Hospice & Home surrounded by family. Treva was born June 14, 1939 in Sterling the daughter of Harry and Mamie (Currie) Johnson. She married Larry McNeil on June 24, 1955 in Erie. He preceded her in death on September 1, 1957. She then married Raymond J. Frohling on February 23, 1959 in Little Rock AR. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1994.

Treva was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all children. She was an avid collector of lighthouses. She enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time with family. Treva was very strong about her faith in Jesus.

Survivors include one son Steven (Vicki) Frohling of Sterling; one daughter Cheryl (Robert) Farwell of Sterling; one brother Alfred (Joie) Johnson of Fulton; one sister Lola (Michael) Harris of Fulton; five grandchildren Drew (Melissa) Farwell of Green Bay WI, Jordan Webster of Chicago, Tyler (Amy) Farwell of Winter Garden FL, Rebekah (Ryan) Eichelberger of Sterling, and Michael Frohling of Dekalb; four great-grandchildren Nevaeh Webster, Adaya Frohling, Chase Farwell, and Logan Farwell; special friends Kelly Eberly, and Peggy Rhodes, Quinten and Zoe Meyers.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, two daughters Carol Lynn McNeill, and Dawn Marie Frohling; two brothers Roger Gail Johnson, and Gary N. Johnson; and one sister Nyla Graham.

Funeral services will be 11AM Tuesday August 16, 2022 at Harvest Time Bible Church. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral service from 9AM-11AM at Church. Burial will take place at the Erie Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to Harvest Time Bible Church, and Rock River Hospice & Home.
