Vivian D. “Susie” Tegeler, 104, formerly of Sterling, died, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Good Samaritan Society, Prophetstown. Vivian was born August 2, 1913 in Morrison, the daughter of William and Jennie (Taylor) Frankfother. She married Louis M. Tegeler on February 14, 1934 at the Ebenezer Parsonage, Morrison. He preceded her in death on December 17, 2002. Vivian was a lifelong member of Bethel Reformed Church, Sterling. Survivors include one daughter, Faye C. Vos of Sterling; one son, Virgil (Donna) Tegeler of Polo; three sisters, Mary Lou Meyers, Daisy (Jack) Linker and Leta Wolfe, all of Sterling; one brother, Duane Frankfother of Sterling; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Galen Vos; three sisters, Eleanor Harting, Fern Bramm, Betty Senese; one brother Wilbur Frankfother; three brothers in infancy; and one great granddaughter Misty Owens. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Friday September 22, 2017 at Bethel Reformed Church, Sterling, with Reverend Gary Dekoekkoek officiating. Visitation will be from 10AM-11AM one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. A memorial has been established to Bethel Reformed Church, Sterling.
