WAYNE L. FRY DIXON - Wayne L. Fry, 81 died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Dixon Health Care Center. He was employed as an Assistant Manager for Northern Illinois Water Company, for 36 years, prior to retirement in 1992. Wayne was born May 22, 1930 in Mason City, IA, the son of Harvey and Corrine (Telford) Fry. He served in the United States Air Force. He married Sarah E. (Newton) Fry on August 24, 1950 in Whitehall. Wayne was a past member of the former Evangelical Congregational Church in Rock Falls. Survivors include one daughter, Nancy (Kent) Johnson of Carpentersville; one son, Wayne (Carolyn) Fry of Titusville, FL; one sister, Corrine Canon of Cedar Rapids, IA; two brothers, LeRoy Worby of Humboldt, IA and Donald Fry of Branson, MO; three grandchildren, April Fitzgerald, Autumn (Nick) Walters and Susan (Dan) Garneau; two great-grandchildren, Sarah Garneau and Brooke Walters. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lee, William, Virgil Fry, and Joey Fry; one sister Virginia Gravenich. Services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Bethesda Temple, Rock Falls with Reverend Dennis Buss, officiating. Burial will be at Coloma Township Cemetery, Rock Falls. Visitation will be from 6-8PM Friday at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. A memorial has been established. Condolences may be sent to www.schillingfuneralhome.com.
