William Haverland

WILLIAM HAVERLAND STERLING �" William P. Haverland, 81, of Sterling, died Friday, September 4, 2009, at his home. He was a carpet installer in the area for many years. Mr. Haverland was born October 27, 1927, the son of John and Nora (Thompson) Haverland. He married Wilma D. Ryan in 1954 in Sterling. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sterling. Survivors include his wife, Wilma, of Sterling; three daughters, Barbara Jo Hartzler, of Lexington, Gail E. (John) Nysather, of Oregon, and Jane Leslie Hines, of Pekin; four brothers, Kenneth (Ruth) Haverland, of Sterling, Roger (Carol) Linboom, of Dixon, Ronald (Carol) Linboom, of Grand Detour, and Robert (Barbara) Linboom, Sterling of; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church in Sterling with Reverend Paul Judd, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-6 P.M. on Monday, September 7, 2009 at Schilling Funeral Home. A memorial has been established.
