WILLIAM F. SELLERS STERLING- William F. Sellers, 82, of Sterling died Thursday, February 16, 2017 at his home. William was born July 7, 1934 in Lima, OH, the son of Walter and Virl (Meyers) Sellers. He married Phyllis J. Ramsey on December 27, 1953. She preceded him in death on July 5, 2007. Bill was the past president of Life Underwriters Association, a member of the Financial Services Institute, a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table, and he was also a Charitable Emissary. Bill had numerous awards of recognition and accolades in the insurance and financial services industry. He was past president of the Krangle Foundation, whose mission is to provide housing for the handicapped, and raise funds for agencies that benefit the needs of the handicapped. Bill enjoyed boating, golfing, and fishing. He took great pleasure in his family and friendships. Survivors include two daughters, Teri (Joe) Wells of Sterling, Lisa Sellers of Davenport IA; one son, Jeff (Debi) Sellers of Long Grove, IA; sister, Sharon (Larry) Kelley of Findlay, OH; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and special friend, Linda Hagemann of Sterling. He was also preceded in death by his parents: one sister, Shirley Sellers and one brother, Robert Sellers. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling with Pastor Scott Porter, of Abiding Word Church, Sterling, officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Monday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Abiding Word Church, Sterling.
