Obituary of Mildred L Miatke

     Mildred L. Miatke, 90, died Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at her home.  

     Mildred was born January 10, 1929 in Rural Yorktown, the daughter of John and Martha (Blackert) Albrecht.  She married R. Maurice Miatke on May 8, 1949 at Leon Methodist Church in Prophetstown. He preceded her in death on December 6, 2009.

     Survivors include four daughters, Susan (Brien) Carey, of Davis, Betty (James) Kunde, Lou Ann (Don) Schuldt, both of Sterling, and Rhonda (Bill) Frank, of Urbana; one sister, Helen Waldbusser of Prophetstown; two brothers, Marvin Albrecht of Sterling and Wayne (Betty) Albrecht of DeKalb; one sister-in-law, Pat Albrecht of Prophetstown; eleven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Albrecht Jr.

     Services will be held at 11 A.M., Monday, March 11, 2019 at Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling, with Pastor Grant Wade and Richie Frank, co-officiating.  Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-5 P.M., Sunday.

     A memorial has been established to Gaffey Home Nursing and Hospice, Sterling.
