CLIFFORD L. “SONNY” DITTMAR

 

MILLEDGEVILLE-Clifford “Sonny” Dittmar, 88, of Milledgeville, died Friday, March 22, 2019 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling.

    Sonny was born May 17, 1930 in Milledgeville, the son of John and Bertha (Schleuning) Dittmar. He married Faith (LeCrone) on August 14, 1954 in Oregon.

    Sonny was proud that he worked at Milledgeville Farmers Elevator for 47 years, until his retirement at age 80. He was a member of Milledgeville Brethren Church.

    Survivors include, his wife, Faith; four daughters, Cynthia Etnyre of Branson, MO, Debora (Neil) Beveroth of Sterling; Kathleen (Joe) Medema of Polo and Kristine (Jason) Janssen of Groveland; one son, Robert (Jodie) Dittmar of Fresno, CA; one sister, Joan (Russell) Schryver of Milledgeville; fifteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Edward and Glen Dittmar; and one grandson, Jacob Medema.

    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Milledgeville Brethren Church with Dr. Jim Black, officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery, Milledgeville. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday at the church.

   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Milledgeville Brethren Church.

   Arrangements were completed by Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling.
