Obituary of Ronald E. Pettenger

RONALD E. PETTENGER

STERLING-Ronald E. Pettenger, 66 of Sterling, died, Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Citadel Care of Sterling.

    Ronald was born December 21, 1952 in Dixon, the son of Roy and Pauline ( Rubright) Pettenger. He served in the United States Marine Corp. during Vietnam.  Ronald enjoyed woodworking, loved fishing, and spending time with family.

    Survivors include three sons, Randal Pettenger of Sterling, Mike Pettenger of Peoria and Melvin (Misty Cook) of Lanark; two sisters, Cathy (Wayne) Loy of Florida and Pam (Phil) Arnette of Pecatonica; one brother, William (Becky) Pettenger of Sterling and three grandchildren, Morgan Pettenger, Boston Pettenger and Calvin Nickel of Lamoille.

    Memorial service will be held from 5-6:30 PM Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 180 Church, Sterling, with Pastor Paul Sheley, officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded.
