Obituary of Wayne L Bollman

     Wayne L. Bollman, 89, died, Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

     Wayne was born August 9, 1929 in Hume Township, Prophetstown area, the son of Lawrence and Louise (Hagerman) Bollman. He married Shirley Barnes on March 15, 1953 in Sterling. Wayne served in the United States Army from 1951-1953, and served in the Honor Guard.  He was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Sterling. Wayne farmed in the Prophetstown area for many years, and enjoyed trapshooting.    

     Survivors include his wife Shirley of Rock Falls; one daughter, Diane Bollman of Rock Falls; one son, Larry (Linda) Bollman of San Antonio, TX; one sister,Wilma Linman of Hampton and one brother-in-law, Jim Barnes of Schaumburg and three step-grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Lloyd, Eugene and Merle Bollman.

     Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM  Friday, June 28, 2019 at Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling with Reverend Leo Patterson, officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park.

     A memorial has been established.
