Obituary of Mary Jo Pineda

    Mary Jo Pineda, 73, of Sterling, died Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at her home.

    Mary was born October 31,1945 in Greenville Township, the daughter of Paul Francis and Helen Lorraine (Buxton) Egan. She married Roland Pineda on July 3,1963 in Iowa City.

     Survivors include her husband; four sons,Timothy (Michele Smith) Pineda of Sterling, James (Deborah) Pineda of Rock Falls, Max (Pamela) Pineda of Sterling, Ronald (Cassidy) Pineda of Sterling; one brother, Paul (Patricia) Egan of Port Byron; one brother-in-law, John Waller;  two sister- in- laws, Sharon Egan of Rock Falls and Cheryl Egan of Rock Falls ; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four special friends, Sandy Skrogstad, Henrietta Sotelo, Vicky Leal, Rosemary Morales.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Gary T. Egan, Harry Egan, Donald J. Egan; one sister, Carol Waller.

     A Celebration of Life will be held at 1PM on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Wagon Wheel, Sterling. There will be no visitation. Burial is private. 

     A memorial has been established.
