ALBERT LOPEZ DIXON-Albert Lopez, 53, died suddenly Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Morrison Community Hospital. He was employed as Postmaster at the Morrison Post Office. Albert was born April 4, 1959 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico the son of Martin and Maria Lopez . He married Rhonda Ledford on August 13, 1983 in Elmhurst. Survivors include his wife Rhonda of Dixon; his foster mother, Irene Sieverson of Elmhurst; one daughter, Alyssa (Gene) Anderson of Springfield; two sons, Andrew Lopez of Dixon and Adam (Duranne Frank) Lopez of Glen Ellyn; four sisters, Blanca, Beatrice, Maria and Aida; one brother, Rick; many many foster brothers and sisters and three grandchildren, Autumn, Austin and Avin Anderson. Albert's main pride and joy in life was his family. He was a loving husband, father, and foster father. He was preceded in death by his biological parents and foster father, Robert Sieverson. Memorial services will be held at 4:15 PM Sunday, September 16, 2012 at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling with the Reverend Jeff Coester, pastor of First Congregational Church, officiating Cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation will be from 1-4 PM Sunday, prior to services at the funeral home. A memorial has been established. Condolences may be sent to schillingfuneralhome.com.
