Obituary of Ruth P. Chapman

VERNON HILLS- Ruth P. Chapman, 93, formerly of Sterling, died Tuesday November 5, 2019.  Ruth was born October 13, 1926 in London England the daughter of Maurice and Betty (Silverstone) French.  She married James “Jack” Chapman on July 26, 1945 in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, England.  Ruth was a member of Temple Sholom in Sterling. 

   Survivors include one daughter Susan (Howard) Wolff of Deerfield; one sister Lillian Bernstein of London England; three grandchildren Karyn (Joey) Karel of Deerfield, Amy (Tim) Schwab of Deerfield, and Mark Wolff of Bozeman MT; seven great-grandchildren.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband James “Jack” Chapman. 

   Graveside services will be held Friday November 8, 2019 at Riverside Cemetery, in Sterling, with Cantor Julie Staple officiating.  Arrangements have been completed by Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation in Sterling. 

   A memorial has been established to Orphans Of The Storm 2200 Riverwoods Road
