Obituary of Deloris DeJonge

ROCK FALLS-Deloris E. DeJonge, 84, of Rock Falls, died Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Rock Falls Rehabilitation Center.

     Deloris was born January 1, 1935 in Sterling, the daughter of Raymond and Lillian (Eilers) Knalsen. She married Loren DeJonge on February 8, 1952 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sterling. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2009.  Deloris was a lifetime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Deloris and Loren farmed in the Coleta area for many years.

     Survivors include her four sons, Eugene (Janet), Ronald (Sue), Ricky (Mary Ann) and Randy (Rhonda) DeJonge, all of Sterling; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister, Joyce Hess and one brother, Donald Knalsen.

     Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sterling with Pastor Philip Heuser, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM, prior to services at the church.

     A memorial has been established to Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sterling.
