I'm so sorry for your loss. I have such warm memories of Maxine beginning with going to their home to enroll in the credit union, to working with her at Unit 5, to seeing her smiling face at the credit union office, and then after her retirement seeing her at restaurants and around town. She was such a wonderful person and will be greatly missed.

My deepest condolences to all of the Olsons for the loss of Maxine. I can still picture her smile, a smile that could light up a room and make you feel so welcome. I will always associate her with the School Employees Credit Union, where she taught me how to save my pennies, manage a budget and make ends meet when I was a poor college student.
May the memories you shared with your cherished mother; a dedicated homemaker, and valuable community member help sustain you in your time of loss. Maxine was the heart and soul of the Olson clan. Though she may longer walk beside you, her spirit lives in the hearts of all those left behind. You have only to look into the eyes of her children and grandchildren to see her everlasting legacy of love.
And though I may have moved more than 4,000 miles away from home and hadn’t seen her in years, I have never forgotten her kindness.

I am so sad to hear about Maxine's passing. She has always held a special place in my life. She was my secretary at Jefferson school where I first got to know her. Then later, after I took Don's classes in High School, I was fortunate to be hired at School Employees Credit Union. What she taught me while working there provided such a group of skills that I continue to use today. She was patient and loved to teach. Her professionalism, yet sense of humor was so engaging. She was a great tennis player and included me in her group many times. I am thankful I met her, was able to work along side of her and considered her a mentor and friend! The picture provided is definitely how I will always remember her!

When I first started teaching at Jefferson Maxine was the wonderful lady that helped me through my first years of teaching.Later when I was a Board member on the SECU she again was a wonderful influence.
I would see Maxine when I visited my wife at Morningside. I will always remember her as a treasure in my life.
A great lady!
