Obituary of Ronald Lilly

STERLING-Ronald Lilly, 82, died, Thursday. September 24, 2020 at his home. Ronald was born August 24, 1938 in West Virginia, the son of Eastel Roy and Mary Elizabeth (Heath) Lilly. He served in the United States Army. He was employed at the former Northwestern Steel and Wire Company for over 35 years. He was a member of the Rock Falls Legion. Survivors include one daughter, Pam (John Drew) Buhlman of Rock Falls; one daughter, Mozela Polk of Baltimore, MD; two sons, Ronnie (Theresa) Lilly of Sterling and Terry (Lori Beth) Lilly of MS ; his caregiver and companion, Norma Torres; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Norma Mae (Floyd) Johnson, Ruth Johnson; brothers, Bill Lilly, Clinton Lilly, Bob Lilly and Roy Lilly. Visitation will be from 10AM-11AM Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. Due to Covid-19 guidelines, mask and social distancing regulations will be enforced. Funeral services will be private. Burial will take place at a later date. A memorial has been established.
