Obituary of Ryan Schwab

Ryan Charles Schwab, son of Tom and Sherry (Dooley) Schwab was born in Sterling, IL on October 23, 1978. He departed this life January 27, 2021 in Phoenix, AZ, where he resided since 1998. He graduated from Sterling High School in 1997 and maintained a life-long bond and friendship with many of his Sterling grade and high school classmates. Ryan was a passionate Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboys fan, who enjoyed cross country debates with his Chicago Bears fan buddies. He was previously employed in sales with MCI and Business Benefits Insurance. At the time of his death, he was in negotiation for partnership with his current employer AZ Alpha Glass Company. Ryan is remembered by family and friends for his big heart and generous, caring spirit. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Survivors include his mother of Oakbrook Terrace, IL; brother Brett (Tracey), nieces Emily, Kaitlyn and nephew Luke Schwab of Downers Grove, IL. Uncle Ron (Marella) Dooley of Ft Lauderdale, FL; Aunts: Sheila (Harold) Martin of Jacksonville, FL; Margaret Schwab of Chesterfield, Michigan, Sue (Tom) Alt of Door County WI as well as numerous cousins. Ryan was preceded in death by his father and sister Jenny, Paternal grandparents Leonard (Esther) Schwab, Maternal grandparents Charles (Margaret) Dooley and George (Chrystine) Steltzer, uncles Len and Bob Schwab, cousins Steve and Chris Schwab and Ronnie Dooley. Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM followed by a service of remembrance at 12:00 PM. Saturday, February 13th at Schilling Funeral Home. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Sterling Schools Foundation.
