Obituary of Audrey Eades

AUDREY LORRAINE (SORN) EADES STERLING-Audrey Lorraine (Sorn) Eades, 92, of Sterling, went to be home with the Lord, April 7, 2021, at Rock River Hospice and Home, Sterling. Audrey was born November 27, 1928 in Freeport, the daughter of Ralph and Elsie (Fluechtling) Sorn. She married John Eades on August 15, 1953. Audrey worked in their family businesses, Dairy Mart and Woodlawn Trailer Court and at the DMV and City Clerk’s Office. She was a lifelong member of Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sterling. Audrey loved being a devoted wife and adoring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include, John Eades, Jr., of Sterling, Kathy (Steve Zuidema) Fischer of Sterling, Patricia Eades of Loves Park; three grandchildren, Katie Eades of Jersey City, NJ, Scott (Krista) Fischer of Ponte Vedra, FL, Ryan (April) Fischer of Sterling and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters and her daughter-in-law, Terri Eades. Funeral service will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, Sterling, 2 PM Saturday, April 24, 2021. Burial and light reception following service at the church.
