Obituary of Eleanor Adams

ROCK FALLS - Eleanor I. Adams, 87, died, May 28, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family and fur babies, Marci and Heidi. Eleanor was born May 17, 1934 in Rock Falls, the daughter of Clyde and Irene (Kenney) Lee. She married Earl F. Adams on June 8, 1952 in Rock Falls. He preceded her in death on March 24, 1995. Survivors include two sons, Frank Adams of Osceola,WI, Charles Adams of Rock Falls; four daughters, Sally Adams of Sterling, Cherl (Doug) Miller of Sterling, Cindy (Bob Storm) McCardle of Princeton, Chris Adams of Rock Falls; one brother, James (Sandy) Lee of CA; ten grandchildren, Andrew Beggs, Bradley Adams, Adam Miller, Tricia Manning, Jason Adams, Michelle Keane, Joshua Miller, Amber Ruter, Cassie Zollner, Evan Adams; 18 great grandchildren with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Virgil, Harry, Walt, Don Lee; one sister, Hazel Adair; one daughter-in-law, Cheri Thompson-Adams. Funeral service will be held at 11AM on June 3, 2021 at Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling with Dalmus Meeks officiating. Visitation will be at 10AM one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow and take place at Oak Knoll Memorial Park of Sterling. A memorial has been established to Granny Rose Animal Shelter of Dixon and Rock River Hospice and Home of Sterling.
