Obituary of Paula Garcia

STERLING- Paula Garcia, 66, of Sterling, died Friday, July 30, 2021 at CGH Medical Center of Sterling. Paula was born May 19, 1955 to Macario Sr. and Paula (Gonzalez) Sarmiento. She married Francisco Garcia on February 14, 1981 in Sterling. Paula was a charge nurse for over 20 years and has trained numerous nurses throughout those years. She was compassionate and generous to others, always helping those in need. Paula had the heart of a servant and was very loved. Survivors include one son, Andres Garcia of Sterling; one daughter, Rosa (Roy) Vanbroklin of Broadhead, WI; two brothers, Macario (Patricia) Sarmiento Jr. of Grandville, TX; Antonio Sarmiento of Erie; one sister, Juana (Roy III) Philips of Sterling. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one sister, Maria Barron; one brother, Guadalupe Sarmiento. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling with Pastor Dennis Owens, officiating. A memorial has been established.
