Obituary of Doris M Detweiler

Doris M Detweiler, 87, passed away July 29, 2021 at Regency Care of Sterling. She was the daughter of Glenn and Mildred Detweiler. She was a devoted member of the Rock Falls United Methodist Church. While living in Colorado Springs, CO she sang with The Sweet Adelines and worked as an accountant. She came home in 1973 and later worked at The Central National Bank, Sterling for twenty years. Doris was an avid Cubs fan and also met with a fun group of friends for brunch and dinner. Survivors include sister, Janeen (David) Allen of Rock Falls; nephew, Steven Allen of El Monte, CA.; three nieces, April (Rob) Buchanan, of Princeton, Terri (David) Engelkens of Morrison and Michelle Villa of Moline and many great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Donna Hull, brother, Larry Detweiler, and brother-in-law, Cook Arredondo. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
