George Gordon Sanford, 80, of Sterling died Friday, February 18, 2022 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. Gordon was born September 23, 1941, the son of George and Nelle (Jones) Sanford. He married Georgia Sue Johnson on October 2, 1965 in Whittier, CA.
Survivors include his wife Georgia; two sisters Susan Hopper of Nashville, TN, and Marylee Westhaver of Portland, OR.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will take place from 10AM-11AM on Wednesday, February 23rd at Grace Episcopal Church, 707 1st Avenue, Sterling. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11AM with the Very Rev. Lori M. Lowe officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling.
A memorial fund has been established at Grace Episcopal Church.
