Obituary of Brian Lopez

Brian Lopez, 56, of Sterling,passed away peacefully in hospice Friday March 11, 2022. Brian was born April 2, 1965 in Sterling the son of Joseph Lewis and Hope Hellena (Urrutia Sanchez) Lopez. Brian had a passion for cooking, cooking out, and feeding his friends. He was an avid bicycle rider, he loved fishing at the river most of his life. Brian had a kind heart, loving soul and was a friend to all. Survivors include his parents Joseph Lewis (Rosa) Lopez, and Hope Hellena Urrutia Sanchez; four sons Dustin Lopez of AZ, Dalton Goss of Tampico, Dallas Brian (Nichole Schultz) Lopez of Sterling, Trevor Grosswold of TX; two daughters Madison Goss of Tampico, and Ahleah Angel Lopez of Dixon; five brothers Joe (Angie) Lopez of Sterling, Michael (Michelle Fortune) of Rock Falls, Israel (Robin) Lopez of Morrison, David (Tammi Cox) Lopez of Sterling, and Frank (Gina) Lopez of Sterling; grandchildren Bentley Lopez, Dante Lopez, Brantley, Price, Lilliana. Brian was preceded in death by one brother Steven Mark Lopez. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation in Sterling. A celebration of life will take place from noon to 4 PM, March 19, 2022, at Whiskey Barrel 305 West 2nd Street Rock Falls IL.
