Obituary of Diane Smith

Diane Elizabeth Smith, 75 of Dixon, died Sunday, May 15, 2022 at KSB Hospital Dixon. Diane was born March 15, 1947 in Rochelle, the daughter of Marvin Russel and Irene (Childers) McGee. She married Ricky C. Smith on August 28,1993 in Dixon. She was employed as a LPN at various healthcare facilities over the years. She was a good nurse. Diane was a cat lover, her and her husband were both members of the Sauk Valley Friends of Ferals. She loved to travel. Diane also was a social butterfly, everyone loved her and she was a hugger. Survivors include her husband, Ricky; children, Michelle Piskati, Timothy (Wendy) Moorehead, James Moorehead and Jennifer Grobe; one sister, Joyce Bialas and thirteen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Marvin McGee. There will be no services. A memorial has been established. Condolences may be sent to www.schillingfuneralhome.com.
