James M. Strege, 89, of Ashton died May 29, 2022 at OSF Saint Anthony’s in Rockford. James was born September 26, 1932 in New Rockford ND, the son of Max and Augusta (Miller) Strege. He married Esther Holzkopf on June 8, 2001.
Survivors include his wife Esther; two daughters Pam (David) Bass of Sebring FL, and Michele (David) Haas of Lakeland FL; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and a Celebration Of Life will be from 10AM-12PM on Saturday June 4, 2022 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation in Sterling.
A memorial has been established.
