Obituary of Richard Burris

Richard M. Burris, 74, of Sterling died June 11, 2022 at Morningside of Sterling. Richard was born May 3, 1948 in Chicago the son of Charles and Carol (Denkert) Burris. He married Cynthia King on March 20, 1976 and she preceded him in death in 2000.
Survivors include one step-son Randy Holmes of Orlando; one step-daughter Debbie (Robert) Simpson of Peoria; two sisters Terry (Fred) LaForce of St. Louis, and Gail Ketchum of Dixon; one brother Robert Burris of St. James MO; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; step-son Dennis Holmes, and a brother-in-law Karl Ketchum Sr.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
