HELEN I. SCHREINER STERLING- Helen I. Schreiner, 92, died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at CGH Medical Center. Helen was born August 3, 1920 in Freeport, the daughter of Frank A. and Bertha G. (Rucker) Folk. She married Irvin "Kip" Schreiner on October 1, 1938 in Clinton, IA. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2000. Helen was a member of First United Methodist Church, Sterling and Sterling Moose. Survivors include two daughters, Gloria (Bruce) Kunde of Sterling, Jenise Hill of Dixon; one son, James (Jody) Schreiner of Fredonia, AZ; one sister, Viola "Totsie" Dykema of Mt. Morris; nine grandchildren, Jolea (David) Allen, Jana (Jason) Maxwell, Karlynn (Tim) Dale, Kory (Laura) Kunde, Keely (Mike) Guerrieri, Keesha (Chris) Blumhoff, Michelle (Ed) Roberts, Lorrain (Allen) McAlister and Kyle (Racheal Dahler) Hill; eighteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by four sisters and six brothers Services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling with the Reverend Paul Judd, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Sterling, officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 9-10:45 AM, prior to services. A memorial has been established.
