Obituary of June B. Teachout

June B. Teachout, 98 of Sterling died Friday July 15, 2022 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. June was born May 28, 1924 in Sterling the daughter of George and Marie (Wentling) Bell. She married Mason "Buzz" Teachout, and he preceded her in death on January 23rd 1993.
June was a special "grandma" to so many people. She loved being a helping grandma with her very special friend Deb Stern at Jefferson Elementary for several years. June was active at Wesley United Methodist Church as a Sunday school teacher, a member of the church women's group, and their card ministry.
Survivors include two granddaughters Christine (Bill) Peters of Marseilles, and Susan Carr of Columbia MO; two brothers Harlan (Janice) Bell of Rock Falls, and Dennis Bell of Fair Grove MO; five great-grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews.
June was also preceded in death by her parents, husband Mason "Buzz" Teachout; two sons James Teachout, and Kenneth Teachout; one sister Joyce B. Meyer; two brothers Mason Bell, and Gene Bell.
Funeral services will be 10:30AM Tuesday July 19, 2022 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Sterling, with pastor Paul Lee, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral, from 9:30AM-10:30 AM at the church. Burial will take place immediately following at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.
A memorial has been established to Wesley United Methodist Church.
