Obituary of Audrey A Burke

AUDREY A. BURKE

STERLING-Audrey A. Burke, 88, formerly of Elizabeth, died Tuesday, November 23, 2022 at Citadel of Sterling. 

    Audrey was born January 23, 1934 in Sterling, the daughter of John and Vera (Gaulrapp) Hurley. She married Albert “Bud” Burke. He preceded her in death on September 3, 1997.

    For those who knew Audrey she was kind-hearted, but she could also be feisty and opinionated. She was always a hard worker.

   Survivors include her grandson, John Burke and several nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert “Bud” Burke; one son, Dennis Burke; two sisters, Lavonne Young, Luella Lee and three brothers, John “Jack” Wendel Hurley, Robert “Bob” Hurley and Richard “Dick” Hurley.

   Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Derinda Lutheran Cemetery, Elizabeth, with Pastor David Russell, officiating. There will be no visitation.

   In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to Citadel of Sterling.
