Obituary of Lillian Strike

  Lillian M. Strike, 91, of Sterling died November 29, 2022 at Allure of Sterling.  Lillian was born October 1, 1931 the daughter of Harvey and Elizabeth (Fredericks) Wagner.  She married Eugene Strike on June 23, 1963 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sterling.  

   Lillian worked at Lawrence Brothers in Sterling for 43 years until her retirement. She enjoyed roller skating, dancing, cooking, gardening, and day trips to dinner theaters.

   Survivors include her husband Eugene; one sister Katherine Janssen of Morrison; brother-in-law Arlyn (Bert) Strike of Dekalb; a sister-in-law Nyla (Jim) Schmadeke of Ankeny IA; and several nieces and nephews. 

   Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; and two brother-in-laws Merle Strike, and Robert Janssen.

   Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday December 5, 2022 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation in Sterling. Visitation will be from 10AM-11AM one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will take place immediately following at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling. 

   A memorial has been established to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sterling.
