Obituary of Rob Roath

Robert Roath, 64 of Dixon, died Saturday, December 10, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital Madison, WI with friends and family at his side.

   Rob worked, played and loved hard. He loved his etching hobby, his dogs and bunnies. He loves Jesus and his church where he played guitar for every Sunday worship. Most of all he loved his family, wife and best friend, Candy (Dondelinger); four children, Lynda (Brian Bayless), Ronald (Ashley Hawbaker) Miriah (Shawn Troester) and Ragan; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and four brothers, James (Grace), Stephen, Paul and Mark (Melissa).

   He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Shirley; one son Christopher and a brother, Michael.

   Memorial service will be held Friday December 30, 2022 from 4-5 PM

and visitation and refreshments from 5-7PM at Bethel Church, 131 N Court Street Dixon, IL 61021.

   In lieu of flowers a memorial has been set up in his honor. Robert Roath Memorial, Sterling Federal Bank, 413 N Galena Avenue, Dixon, IL 61021.
