Obituary of Charlotte Stern

   Charlotte L. Stern, 77, of Rockford passed peacefully on January 24, 2023 while holding Duane and Todd's hand.  Charlotte was born March 12, 1945 in Chilhowie VA the daughter of Marvin and Fannie (Dean) Blevins.  She married Duane Stern on September 18, 1965 in Sterling. 

   Survivors include her husband Duane; one son Todd (Angela) Stern of Rockford; two brothers William (Sandy) Blevins of Sterling and Dennis Blevins of Sterling; one sister Elizabeth Dowell of Sterling; four grandchildren, that were the joy of her life, Brittney, Samantha, Kali, and Hudson.

   Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents Marvin (Fannie) Blevins; one sister Nancy Blevins; one brother Carl Blevins; and one brother-in-law Roy Dowell.

   Visitation will be  Sunday January 29, 2023 from 3PM-5PM at Christ the Rock Lutheran Church in Rockford IL. Funeral services will be 11AM Monday January 30, 2023 at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling IL. An additional visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11AM at Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation. Burial will take place following the funeral at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. 

   A memorial has been established.
