   Ralph L. Jacobs, 91, of Sterling died Sunday March 19, 2023 at CGH Medical Center. Ralph was born August 16, 1931 in Ustick Township the son of Charles and Carrie (Rosenow) Jacobs. He married Joyce Fowler on August 6, 1951.

   Ralph served in the United States Navy and after his service he worked at GE in Morrison until his retirement in 1988. He was an avid Cubs fan and loved his country music. Ralph attended the Whiteside County Fair from the age of 6 until he preceded in death only missing two fairs. The most important thing in his life was his family being together.

   Survivors include his wife Joyce; two sons Larry (Barbara) Jacobs of Roscoe, Stephen (Debra) Jacobs of Sterling; two daughters Connie Grobe of Dixon, and Michele Bellows of Sterling. Twelve grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. 

   Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers William Jacobs, Virgil Jacobs, Kenneth Jacobs; and one sister Lillian Parker.

    Funeral services will be 11AM Friday March 24, 2023 at Schilling Funeral Home, with Jeff Coester, officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison IL. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the funeral service from 10AM-11AM.  

   A memorial has been established.
