   Donald P. Podkulski, 77, of Sterling passed away on April 15, 2023 at his home surrounded by family.  Donald was born October 3, 1945 in Chicago the son of John and Florence (Runyon) Podkulski.  He was a dedicated and loving husband for 57 years to his wife Audrey. 

   Donald worked at NWSW for 33 years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, vacationing in Florida at the beach, and spending time with his wife and family. 

   Survivors include his wife Audrey; two sons Christopher (Michele) Podkulski, and Kevin Podkulski of Clinton IA; two daughters Kim (Mike) Damhoff of Morrison and Kerri (Michael) Newendyke of Milledgeville; one sister Susan Allen of Highland NY; ten grandchildren Nicole (Josh Wen) Podkulski, Megan Podkulski, Brian Podkulski, Ashley Damhoff, Ryan Damhoff, Donovan Earnst, Cole Podkulski, Drew Welch, Derrick Welch, Tylor O'Brien.

   Donald was preceded in death by his parents; one son in infancy; five brothers Tom, Jack, Jim, Ronald (Donald's twin), Edward Podkulski.

   Funeral services will be 11AM, Friday April 21, 2023 at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling. Visitation will be from 5PM-7PM Thursday April 20, 2023 also at Schilling Funeral Home. Burial will take place following funeral services at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.

   A memorial has been established.
