Obituary of Alice B. Middleton

   Alice B. Middleton, 90, of Sterling died May 17, 2023 at home. Alice was born May 8, 1933 in Sterling the daughter of Herbert and Gertrude B. (Moore) Drane.  Alice graduated from Sterling High School in 1951. She married Marion Middleton on January 17, 1954 in Sterling. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2016.

   Survivors include two sisters Mary Doane and Anita Gilbert both of Sterling; six nephews Don Drane of Dixon, Tim (Rose) Drane of Dixon, John (Debbie) Windham of KS, Jason (Jena) Doane of Sterling, Jim (Gwen) Doane of Rock Falls, and Justin Drane of Rock Falls; four nieces Deb (Ken) Bailey of Sterling, Sherry (Bob) Kennard of Sterling, Sheila (Gil) Sombremonte of TX, and Michelle (Matt) Decker of Peoria. 

   She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, two brothers, and two sisters in infancy.

   Graveside services will be 11AM Monday May 22, 2023 at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.

   A memorial has been established to Relay For Life.
