Obituary of Betty Pashon

   Betty Lois Pashon, 87, of Sterling, died Tuesday, June 13th, 2023 in Sterling while her family surrounded her with love.

   Betty was born August 1st, 1935 in Minot, ND, the daughter of Ralph and Helen (Johnson) Darling.  She was one of 8 children and always loved spending time with her dear sisters and brothers.  She fell in love with Leroy Pashon and in 1955 they married. Soon after, they began their life of farming and raising their six children.

   Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Patterson of Sterling, Cindy (Brad) Cassens of Johnstown, CO and Cheryl (Jeff) Jones of West Jefferson, NC; two sons, Steve (Cathy) Pashon of Davenport, IA and Tim (Nannette) Pashon of Sterling, thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

   She was preceded in death by Leroy, her husband of 65 years, both her parents, one daughter, Patty Pashon, one grandson, Kris Wolf Jr. and 3 brothers, Vernon Darling, Gary Darling and David Darling.

   Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 16th, 2023 at Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling.  Loretta Hanson, Betty’s sister, will preside over the service.  Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.  Visitation will be from 9-11am Friday, prior to services.
