Obituary of Catherine Rinehart

CATHERINE M. RINEHART STERLING - Catherine M. Rinehart, 100, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at her home. She was an operating room aide at CGH Medical Center until she retired in 1974. Catherine was born December 17, 1912 in Sterling, the daughter of Francis and Zana (Rogers) Keefe. She married Ernest V. Rinehart on October 30, 1931 in Aurora. He preceded her in death in March 1989. Survivors include one son, John Rinehart of Rock Falls; five grandchildren, Michael Rinehart, Kathi Krull, Scott Boyer, Elizabeth Winstead and Jeff Boyer; seven great-grandchildren, Angela Rinehart, Paula (Frank) Dickson, Christopher Rinehart, Nathan Krull, Ashley (Donald) Tompkins, Dustin (Cassie) Sawyers and Ian Sawyers; and seven great-great-grandchildren, Edward, Mathew and Angel Patrick Wolfe, Destiny Dickson, Jackson, Serin and Bella Sawyers. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Zana Whipple and Betty Landacker; one sister, Majorie Wessels; and one grandson, Johnny Boyer. Services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, February 8, 2013 at Schilling Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Coester, pastor of First Congregational Church of Sterling, officiating. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM, Friday, prior to services at the Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to the Sterling Salvation Army.
