Obituary of John Rodriguez

   John Manuel Rodriguez, 70, of Dixon, died Monday, November 27, 2023 at KSB Hospital,   Dixon. He was born February 4, 1948 in SanBenito, TX, the son of Ignacio and Celia (Cavazos-Garcia) Rodriguez.

   John worked many years prior to retirement for the United States Postal Service in Rockford and for a short time at Sterling Walmart. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR races.

   Survivors include his step-mother, Lourdes Rodriguez; step-siblings, Ignacio Jr, Lupe, Martine and Leticia, all from Texas; aunts and uncles, Israel (Dolly) Rodriquez, Virginia Donna, Juanita Craig, Estella (Nick) Cruz, Emalinda Howard and Josefa (Kim) Wright and many nieces and nephews.

   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret and several aunts and uncles.

   Graveside service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Sterling, with Reverend Carlos Monsalve, officiating.

   A memorial has been established.
