Obituary of Richard Beelendorf

   Richard Beelendorf, 84, of Sterling, died Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Rock River Hospice and Home, Sterling.

   Richard was born November 28, 1939 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Robert and Violet (Shoey) Beelendorf. He was a graduate of Kemper College, Class of 1961. In school he was Sergeant of the ROTC, active in the battle group and editor of the school newspaper. Richard drove limo’s for various funeral homes and for people for recreational purposes. He bartended at Nick’s Tap for many years and loved boating on the Rock River.

   There will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Celebration of life will be at a later date. 

   Survivors include the love of his life, Suzanne and several nieces and nephews. 

   He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert A. and Wayne E. Beelendorf.

   A memorial has been established.
