Obituary of Kathy Ann Anderson

   Kathy Ann Anderson, 66, of Morrison, died Sunday December 17, 2023 at Rock River Hospice, Sterling. 

   Kathy was born October 16, 1957 in Morrison, the daughter of Ellsworth and Marion (Dykhuizen) Nice. She married Thomas Anderson on January 1, 1999 in Red Wing, MN.

   Kathy loved nature and taking pictures of anything involving nature. She knew the name of every bird in her backyard and the cardinals were her favorite. She loved to garden and had so much knowledge of plants and flowers. She was a member of the Morrison Garden Club. She also loved camping and to needlepoint.

   Survivors include her husband, Tom of Morrison; one daughter, Sarah (Robin) Haugh of Winnebago, MN; one son, Phillip Wedeking of Coon Rapids, MN; two step-daughters, Jana Anderson and Cara Anderson of Hastings, MN; one sister, Janice (Dave) Mayes of Morrison and six grandchildren.

   She was preceded in death by her parents;one brother Don Nice, and three sisters; Lorraine Geesey, Elaine Ballard, and Patricia Onken.

   Per Kathy’s request, there will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded.

   A memorial has been established.
