Obituary of Pamela Hedstrom

     Pamela Sue (Morris) Hedstrom, 63 of Rock Falls, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at CGH Medical Center following a long battle with kidney disease.

     Pamela was born on July 27, 1960 in Sterling, IL the daughter of Chauncey “Sonny” and Shirley (Slifer) Morris. She married Richard “Rick” Hedstrom on October 27, 1984 in Aurora, CO before returning to Rock Falls in 1987. Pam attended Rock Falls High School, and spent many years bowling with the Monday Night Strikers at Blackhawk Lanes. Pam leaves behind a legacy of love. For all that knew her, knew they had a confidant and very best friend; a hand to hold, an ear to listen, and a heart to forgive and love them for who they are. 

     Survivors include her husband, Richard “Rick" Hedstrom; daughter, Krystal (Jessie Farmer) Hedstrom; son, Richard “Buddy” Hedstrom II; step-daughter, Amber (Daroll) French; special extended family, Rori Croy and Harmony Thayer; three grandchildren, Daisy and Ezra French, Storiee Hedstrom; father, Chauncey “Sonny” Morris; sister, Dee (Phil) Croy; brother-in-law, Mike Larson.

   Pam spent a lifetime raising her nieces and nephews like her own children: Toni Fowkes, Chad (Stacey) Fowkes, Cory (Kevin Bishop) Fowkes, Jennifer Tetley, Alaina Burtlow, Amanda Burtlow, Angie (Kevin) Ebbens, Stephanie (Zach Jensen) Larson, Marissa Larson, Shane Croy – and many more great and great-great nieces and nephews and extended family.

   She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley (Slifer) Morris; sister, Peggy Larson; and nephew, Brian Fowkes.

    The family would like to welcome all friends, family, and those that felt the love of Pam to a Celebration of Life on Thursday May 23, 2024 from 4-7PM at Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. A continued celebration and dinner to immediately follow at The Eagle’s Club in Rock Falls.

    A memorial has been established in her name.
